The real way to save money is by selecting the right CNC process based on the tolerance that can reach your requirement. The CNC machining process is relatively expensive even with a big gap between different CNC processes, E.G. CNC milling vs CNC router

We have designed an RFID desktop used for reading RFID tags. The part is made of clear acrylic with a pattern printed on the back. For a rectangular part, it can be manufactured both by CNC milling and CNC router plus post-polishing, with the price being 2.5: 1. Because the CNC milling can achieve a tight tolerance to ±0.0025mm. The CNC machinery and operator require more payment. The CNC router is less power suitable for plastic materials with normal tolerance of about ±0.13mm. So For complex shapes or surfaces that are impossible to polish by an NC machine or manually, CNC milling is the right choice
